Districts can do a better job fulfilling their mission when they partner with a variety of different groups, such as county governments, watershed councils and land trusts, and state and federal agencies.

OREGON CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIP (OrCP)

The Oregon Association of Conservation Districts (OACD) is a member of the Oregon Conservation Partnership, which is a partnership among OACD, Network of Oregon Watershed Councils, Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts (COLT), and the Oregon Conservation Education and Assistance Network (OCEAN), funded by a capacity grant from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB).

Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts (COLT) is the central voice of the land trust community, working to protect the natural world—through unity and advocacy. 

Network of Oregon Watershed Councils (NOWC) Supports the work of watershed councils throughout the state by increasing council capacity, improving key relationships, and promoting public awareness of watersheds and watershed councils

Oregon Conservation Education and Assistance Network (OCEAN)
Provides assistance, information, training and support to conservation district employees

Oregon Department of Agriculture – Natural Resource Division (ODA – NRD)
Management of natural resource programs in the state and administrative oversight of Soil and Water Conservation Districs

Soil and Water Conservation Commission (SWCC)
Provides coordination between Oregon’s Soil & Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) and the Department of Agriculture

Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB)
Restores, maintains and enhances Oregon watersheds in order to protect the economic and social well being of the state

Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)
Primary federal agency providing technical assistance to SWCD’s and private landowners
